The Big Lebowski, The Dude

This hyper-realistic 3D model shares my joy of craft with one of the greatest cult films to date, The Big Lebowski. The objective was to create a compelling likeness of Jeff Bridges in character using the medium I do best, 3D. Both Maya and ZBrush were used extensively in the 3D modeling portion of the project. The texturing work was comprehensive and diverse, with software usage ranging from Substance Painter and Designer to Mari and Photoshop. Many xGen descriptions were created with a variety of techniques to match The Dude's disheveled hairstyle. It was rendered in Arnold and composited in Nuke.
